I'm very pleased with our breakfast experience at Nautilus Diner. I always go for the corned beef hash and eggs at every breakfast spot I visit. The portion size of the meal was more than enough and the flavors were on point. The coffee tasted good (my wife and I only drink black) and the service was adequate. Our server checked on us often and took care of us despite not having the warmest of personalities and not giving us her name. As for the dining atmosphere, the place gives off an old school beachside diner vibe and the dining room was very clean. I will say, their menu is massive and very diverse. When we were seated, the waitress took 10 minutes to come over to us after awkwardly looking at my wife and I and walking off. It took 45 minutes for our food to come out (French toast, 1 egg, 4 pieces of bacon and biscuits with sausage gravy). The French toast wasn?t French toast, it was 3 pieces of bread. The 1 egg was extremely under cooked. Biscuits and gravy had no flavor, just mush from a can. The small bowl of fruit was given to us for free and had a fly in it. The whole diner was disgustingly dirty. Lastly, when the waitress did come, she was incredibly rude for no reason. The place has a beautiful atmosphere and the menu has lot of options of food. Just stay away from the Banana-walnut Pancakes, it wasn?t good and almost no bananas on top. I choose one kind of dessert, I don?t know the name, but didn?t taste good at all. Also, i ordered a cappuccino witch was fine. My husband and his cousin had a great experience in their choices. The service was not the best. They have all kind of desserts, also they have a bar area (some beers and drinks) all day long. But is not a bad place to have a breakfast or brunch!
My food was really good and the waitress was nice and helpful. My husband food however did not come out so great. He ordered fried fish, the fish was very hard as if it was fried frozen. We told the waitress and she told the manager, he never came over to talk to us about. We actually had to ask the waitress to call him to our table, and he quickly said he knew and only took a few dollars off the bill even though the food was not edible.
