This was our third visit to the Navigation and second for food. I must say I have no idea what the issue was today but the restaurant manager had a terrible attitude from the get go- we were made to feel very unwelcome. Staff ignored us apart from one lady with a pony tail. Food was hit and miss and was not good quality for the price. £13.95 for a burger that my husband couldn’t eat and cold chips. The chicken burgers came hot and were cooked well with hot chips. We did not enjoy the experience overall and it was a shame as we had come out as a rare treat with our 3 month old. There are many better pubs out there at the moment. Such a shame about the service.
The Sunday lunch at this restaurant is exceptional and truly deserves more than a 5 out of 5 rating! My wife ordered the beef dish and I had the trio of meats (beef, pork, and turkey). The meal was brilliant, served with a selection of vegetables, cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, stuffing, roast potatoes, onion, and even a lump of pork scratching! My wife's meal cost £14.95 and mine was £16.95, which I found to be unbeatable value for such exceptional quality. The service from all the staff was also pleasant. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Well done!
Visited today for Sunday lunch and as is normal for this venue, food, service and overall pleasantness of all staff, including the front of house manager, is what we have come to expect....perfect! They were extremely busy today with bookings, but still managed to fit in a couple of walk-ins, one of which was a group of 20! We have never had a bad meal and their Sunday lunch is perfect, well presented and good sized portions with fresh produce. The normal menu is also just as good. Thank you guys....we will of course be returning!!
By far the best Sunday Lunch we have ever experienced. A fabulous roast with all the trimmings, cooked to absolute perfection, served by a team just as superb. It’s little wonder that the Navigation has earned itself such wonderful accolades, we have eaten in many award winning Restaurants, but The Navigation beats them all hands down. Well done Geoff, Iain, Craig and the team. Award yourselves 10 Gold Stars.

Stopped here for dinner after a long day of opening and closing locks. The food is top quality with amazing taste and generous portion size. The king prawn and chorizo starter was hot and flavoursome, served with some lovely crusty bread. For the main, I had the seafood rigatoni again great flavour and portion size. Would highly recommend this place. Service was very good too.
Omg we had what I thought was the best pizza I've ever had was in Sorrento this year We were wrong!! Our Pizza from the Navvi was exceptional great service and good beer thank you Craig and the gang
Lovely food stopped over in a motorhome lovely staff couldn't wish for better can even get water to fill up Only mins from my and morrisons only miles down road lovely canal walk mins away
Love this pub. Food is excellent , landlord and bar staff are marvellous and the locals are so friendly. If you’re in a camper van they let you stay on car park too. Thank you.

We are lucky to live near this lovely pub! The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing. We have never had a disappointing meal, and we have tried everything on the menu!
