Caught up with an old friend i hadnt seen in years and this was our meeting place. The building is surprisingly small looking from the street as when you walk in its quite big. The staff were friendly and it had a warmish vibe about it. There are heaters in the courtyard and a comfy corner lounge. We met in the afternoon and ordered some snacks including- panko crusted cauliflower, garlic bread and the wagu brisket & mushroom spring rolls. As i dont eat any other meat beside seafood i did not try the spring rolls. The cauliflower was flavoured with curry and served with aioli it was very tasty and the winner ;) my friend said the spring rolls were nice but oily, the garlic bread was nice...
It may not look much, but once we were in the main dining room We were so surprised how busy was the place and how child friendly it was. Our son loved the nursery in which she gave toys and a TV with children's films. Grief Grief The main dining room was full of families and the fireplace created a nice ambience. We all enjoyed our food and managed to demolish everything. I tried her grilled lamb chops, my brother had her beef burger and my husband and my sil with her chicken parma I tried, and thought it was delicious. Not bad. Wagyu Spring Roll roll only fine. Lamb cake Special was nice. Lamb meatball Gnocchi had beautiful soft gnocchi .... Be a beautiful lamb, but was pretty good. Great service and good beer selection. Really as the actual pub itself and decor.
Yep, it seems that the others who reviewed this place have got it down to a tee - it is basically an unpretentious old school pub, which is why I like it.
