Fives all around! #IndianApproved! We were traveling down from Montreal to get back home to Maryland and needed good food to keep us going for our 9.5hour trip. Tldr; The service and food were excellent. They immediately handed us a bowl of papad and chutneys (which were delicious). They swiftly brought out our waters, took our order. While the quantities were small for the price, they were surprisingly good considering the google rating at the time (which compelled me to write this review). The staff were warm, kind, and attentive. 10/10 would recommend. I don’t usually write reviews, but this is hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever had. We stumbled upon this place, and I’m so glad we did! After living in NYC for a decade, I really thought we’d have trouble finding great food like this outside of the city. But New Amber was out of this world! The Sabzi Jalfrezi blew my mind I’ve never had a more perfectly made naan. My fiancé’s chicken tikka masala was perfection. Lovely atmosphere and wonderful service, too!
Delicious food, warm inviting atmosphere!Update 5/12/24: The food is still delicious and we enjoy eating there or ordering take out, but their prices have gotten so high we can only go as a rare treat. I’m sure costs are up for them as well, and everything is expensive right now, but $24 for an entrée is pretty high for the amount you get.
Came to restaurant at 2:40 PM on Saturday June 22nd for lunch. They asked us to have lunch and vacate the place in 15 mins. As they are close at 3-5 pm. They said they can’t give us Ala carte. And buffet they closed before 3 pm. Very rude customer service.

Very bad behaviour of the guy who manages the restaurant. He has absolutely no way of speaking with customers and is not helpful at all. I would never come back just because of the awful behaviour.
We have been going to this Indian restaurant for years and have always been happy. The food is delicious and they are very kind. We especially love the Kabuli naan and chicken makhani.
I enjoyed the buffet! All around 5 stars, food was phenomenal, staff are very attentive and kind. Definitely will come back!!
Have been a fan of Indian cuisine for a long time and this did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and well seasoned.
