The history of this place from the the New Deal alone makes it a unique experience. But the atmosphere is amazing even without that history. Here you come and know you are now in a community and a very welcoming community space. Good food, and something for everyone. And a small event space that helps keep that community feel. And being so close to NASA, USDA, and so many other research institutions, you're likely to find incredible people hanging out that have some amazing stories!
I picked this place because it came up on my Google search for vegan options. I had the vegan fried chicken sandwhich which was very tasty. But it was soy. Not many vegan options at all to be honest. And if you’re looking for whole foods healthy vegan, besides salads the isnt the spot. Really nice atmosphere with live music in the back.
Classic eclectic community coffee house. The kind of place to see slam poetry, live music, full pull espresso, and crunchy kind granola vibes. Diverse and gentle crowd.
