I realized today while browsing the site that I never took the time to rate New Moon. What an oversight! I only lived in Aiken for about a year, but I can’t emphasize enough how significant New Moon was for me during that time. It quickly became my favorite coffee spot. It was a fantastic place to sit and get work done on weekends, and they had wonderful sandwiches and soups. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I honestly can’t think of a single negative. I miss it so much. While I don’t miss much about my time in Aiken—aside from Hitchcock Woods, friends, and relaxing outside New Moon enjoying the charming downtown—I’ve now moved to a much larger city (Charlotte) and haven’t found a...
This restaurant is fantastic! It has the potential to get quite busy, but it's definitely worth the wait. The vibe is wonderfully eclectic, capturing the spirit of Asheville, and the menu features a variety of smoothies, coffee, soups, and paninis. I tried the crab bisque, and it was delicious—creamy, slightly spicy, and packed with crab. My boyfriend enjoyed the potato salad (which is mayo-based) and raved about his pimento cheese and bacon panini. I also indulged in a chocolate milkshake that I’m still savoring. I can’t wait to return in the morning for coffee and fresh pastries!
Marvelous!. New Moon Cafe is such a wonderful gem in aiken. It's quaint and everyone that works there is extremely friendly. THE COFFEE, THE COFFEE. That alone makes this place worth it, but in all honesty, being there makes me feel like I am in the living room of my grandparents. Some people, when venturing to a restaurant, don't want that kind of atmosphere. But if you do (with all the quirkiness, mistakes, time delays, patience) then this place is well worth a try! GREAT EATS. Oh my goodness, was it good.. we went sat for lunch and it couldn't have been better! You feel very at home in this local joint that roasts their own coffee beans, very cool we thought. My husband had the Summer Salmon Sammie which is he still talking about and I had the G-Love Pannini which was OUT OF THIS WORLD. We ended our meal with a Green Monster and a Real Fruit Smoothie with Chia seeds.... Both, we're delicious. Can't say enough good things New Moon, many thanks!
Delicious. I have loved every single thing that I have ordered from this place. It has a very artsy atmosphere, they offer baked goods, smoothies, herbal tea, coffee...you can't go wrong!
The breakfast food and coffee in Aiken are excellent. Although service can slow down a bit when it's busy, we continue to return because it’s a fantastic spot!

Has gone downhill over the years. Bagels are often stale and probably not made fresh each day.
