This restaurant had been on my To Do List for quite awhile. Then, one day in October, when I was shopping at other places in Exeter Commons, I finally got there. Somewhere along the line, new management had taken over, and the printed menu was labeled New Pine Garden. After browsing the Lunch Specials section of the menu, I ordered the Chicken Chow Mein Luncheon Special with an Egg Roll Pork Fried Rice at $9.99. With NH Meals Tax, the total was $10.84. My family and I have always enjoyed the food and service. We went recently, and although the new renovations look good, we were disappointed in the food quality and service. The quality of the food is not the same and, unfortunately, the service was slow which is unusual for them. Not sure if they have a new kitchen cook, but, the vegetable lo mein was dry and overcooked. We ordered orange chicken and beef teriyaki and both were chewy. I understand that it's hard to find staff these days, but, I hope they get the kitchen problem straightened out. This used to be our favorite Asian restaurant.
The menu at this restaurant has significantly fewer options compared to less than a year ago. As frequent customers, we were very disappointed. Sushi is not our preference, and although we appreciate Sarah's hard work, the limited menu was a letdown. We are unsure of the reasoning behind the changes, but we hope they revert back to the old menu soon. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
On New Year's Eve 2023, I ordered takeout from this restaurant. It was, without a doubt, the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The dishes had no flavor, seemed soggy and stale, and were very greasy. There was nothing good about this meal at all. It was even worse than I expected. The only positive thing was that my dogs enjoyed the chicken.

I stopped in while waiting for my son to finish driving he driving school and WOW what a surprise. General Taos wings on the menu. I’ve never seen before but what a great idea and guess what ? THE BOMB !!
I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The Chinese and sushi dishes were expertly prepared.
Pine Garden is one of our favorite restaurants. Sarah and her team are amazing?
