I used to frequent this bakery for their desserts, but in the last 6-7 months, the quality of their fruit-based desserts has become inconsistent. My latest purchase was disappointing. I ordered a coconut cake and a strawberry cake, tipped 20%, and spent about $15. When I got home, I found that the coconut cake was dry as usual, but the strawberry cake tasted rancid. I contacted the bakery about the issue but received no response. This lack of customer service is concerning. In the past, I had to return a multi-fruit tart because it tasted off, and the staff was unhelpful. I hope the bakery takes steps to improve the quality of their desserts and customer service.
Can't get over how beautiful the cakes are in the displays. I hope they all get sold, but every time I've been here, including late at night, there are still so many elegantly decorated cakes...That said, every pastry I've had here has been fresh and delicious. They offer the classic NYC bakery mix of Greek, Italian, and American treats. Everything is constantly fully stocked.They have a few tables inside and are open nearly until midnight, which means I will continue coming here for a treat and a coffee even though their coffee is watery.
Came here to order a birthday cake and the servers were very rude. Kept screaming and when I asked if they could put different colors on the cake they said no. How does a bakery on a busy well known street not have different color decorations to write letters on a cake. The lady who assisted with the purchase didn't even know what she was doing and looked like she just wanted to go home and wanted to rush me. Very bad experience.
This bakery is underrated. I’ve had cheesecake all over NY and this is the very best finest one! Thank me later! Yeta was very delightful, pleasant and always welcoming. I love this bakery/ coffee shop. Oh and the coffee is exceptional as well. The chocolate mousse cake is also a must. I am always so Happy here. The restaurant offers a wide variety of cakes, tarts, cannoli, and other baked goods and desserts. We tried the bierenteer and chocolate mousse, both of which were delicious. The late hours allowed us to stop by after our nearby dinner, and the place was bustling with customers. Clearly a popular spot with great offerings.
I gave them a try for the first time today. Since I was a stranger here, I was a little at a loss and awkward. But, the server who I think was Maria attented to me in a warm and friendly manner, and it made my coffee time comfortable. Also, their coffee and pastries were both great. I'll definitely come back soon.
I had tried cannolis before, and being Italian myself, I have high expectations. Unfortunately, the cannoli I ordered at this restaurant was a disappointment. The shell was soggy and the filling was terrible, lacking the traditional ricotta cheese. It was a truly unsatisfying experience.
I needed a last minute cake and it was the first bakery I found in the opposite. I decided to leches for the strawberries and it's one of the best cakes I've ever had. also the employees working there were incredibly friendly. will definitely come when I need cake for special occasions!
