Newburgh Inn - Table reservation

First, after ordering our drinks, my husband 's drink took 5 10 minutes longer to come for some reason than mine and the kids '. When my mother arrived to complete our table and ordered a gin and tonic, she had waited for about 10 minutes when the waitress returned and then asked what mixer she wanted. Could have been an idea to ask if the order. My mother asked her to put ice in a separate glass and not with her gin. About another 10 minutes later she got her g t filled to burst point with ice! We waited another 5 10 minutes, but no one came to take our food order. The children were very hungry, so we thought we would ask them to take the order instead of waiting longer. Myself, partner and 2 year old son was here for my birthday meal. As it was a first time for us we were a little unsure but as soon as we arrived we were taken to our table very quickly. The staff was great with our son. The food was better than it was expected. We loved it. My son enjoyed using his cartoon cutlery, not many places bother going that extra mile for the kids, but they did. Very cosey, family kid-friendly place. Will definatly be back with family and recommend.

My daughter and I came for a quick meal before I went to Aberdeen's concert. The restaurant was not busy, but we waited much longer than expected to get our drinks after our order, and then to get our food. The main meal was beautiful, filled and very generous portions, but the sticky toffee pudding tasted burned. My daughter didn't eat her. The environment was beautiful, very welcoming and stylish, but I think the waiting time for us was exaggerated.
