I ordered a Greek salad to go a few days ago. Got home and noticed no olives on the salad. I went back today to order the same thing. I made a point to let the person taking my order know that no olives were on the salad the last time and kindly asked if she would make sure they were on this one. Her response was, “Is there anything else?” I say no, pay for my order, and watch as the salad is being prepared. At no time did the person who took my order relay the info to the person making the salad. When I got the salad, no olives. So, I asked if they could add the olives. Went to the Lake Harbor location around 1 o’clock and no one was near front counter to take our order. We waited a few minutes and a few employees walked near but never asked if we were ready to order or if we had been helped. We noticed a skip the line option and figured that’s what they were wanting customers to use so we tried it and it wouldn’t work correctly so we waited for another 5-10 minutes to see if anyone would come to take our order and no one did.
I love newks in the regular good service of the employees, but can not understand for the world of me why they are closed sooo early at weekends! I can call 8:35 clock to go a newks q or whatever, and get the same answer I had before. “Honored man, we are no longer doing to order.” I am only surprised that a good place of eat will not remain open at least on Friday and/or Saturday and will not hold to succeed food until the actual closing time.
the newer newks restaurants in other parts of the country are much better. the older newk’s around the jackson metropolregion go to the hill. so sad, newk’s was one of my places. Now I have to wait until I go to colorado.
