I agree with a lot of the reviews here – don’t expect 5* service (although they are friendly and you can see they are doing their best), but the food is good! I’ve been here many many times and the food is excellent. Order your entrees first, otherwise everything will just come out at random times. An example being our fried rice came out first – ten minutes before anything else! Be specific in your order. For example, I ordered a can of coke and ice, and I was given a can of coke…and a bowl of ice. I suppose I technically got what I asked for. It’s not the place you would go on a first date. I came here a few times to enjoy the occasional drink and the nibben. I like the separate sub- and super-story areas, with different music games in each area. I love the cocktails and drinks, especially the small quirk of segregation of the wee through cheap wine, decent wine, good wine and imaginative wine. Eating here is also really nice! I loved the pizzas that are during the happy hour! I would also have a walk with the Arancini balls and pommes, because why not! the menu also offers baptism of vegetarian options that is fantastic. the service is also very friendly and fast, which is always great on a busy Saturday night! always happy to come back for a nice night of drinking and eating...
Newtown Hotel is a great spot to unwind after a day of work, or to meet a group of friends. I like that it has a few different seating areas to suit everyone, the comfy booths downstairs, the lovely beer garden out the back, the restaurant upstairs, the awesome caravan and the balcony for people with gross smoking habits. They make very good drinks and the pizza is a favourite. Thank you for having vegan cheese!!
big pub in newtown with a fabulous story. the lunch is a brilliant time to go, as it is the perfect time to sit on the balcony in the upper floor, enjoy a drink, watch some people and eat some delish from the kitchen. I will be honest and say that the quality actually surprises me. it was a great pub to eat! definitely worth a visit.

perfect hang out place where you can relax, play pool, arcade games (also spied board games) with another inside atmosphere on each level! ordered a huh parma, peri peri pizza happy hour pizza) and had a few beers. Price/quality ratio, delicious pub food with friendly staff. will definitely come back to this place.
Love dumplings!!! Consistency with the taste and we love it. It can be busy at times but You have to be proactive and place your order immediately so you wouldn't sit there forever. Service is nice and happy to serve you. You can go with big groups or by yourself. Fresh and yummy!!!
Considering it's their speciality, I'd highly recommend just sticking to ordering dumplings. The other side dishes we had were not as flash. The prawn dumplings were full with delicious fresh seafood and the dough was steamed perfectly .
This was a lovely surprise for us a decent yum cha restaurant in Newtown. Their dim sim was large! Steamed mini pork buns and shallot pancake were delicious. Reasonably decent place to go if you're not keen to head into Chinatown.

I give him a star because of the great space, beautiful location and the happy hours pizza the drinks are simple, so if they want only a casual affordable place to enjoy on a Friday night, this is not a bad idea at all
