Nick's Hometown Grille has recently reopened after renovations, and my husband and I were excited to try the new menu with our best friends. My friend's husband quickly chose his order since he doesn't eat fish, while my friend also decided fairly quickly. My husband opted for the New England Clam Chowder and the Crispy Fish Sandwich. The chowder looked appealing, and while he found it good, he thought it could have used more clams and fewer potatoes. He enjoyed the fish sandwich, noting that it was crispy but the fish itself was a bit thin and mushy beneath the breading.

We absolutely loved it! This was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last. We spent the day in Stony Brook and were so glad we decided to stop for a bite to eat. The wings were amazing, and the lobster bisque was perfect. The staff provided excellent service, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere whether you're dining in or just stopping by for a beer. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. I will definitely be returning!
They just opened today, and you can bring your dog along! They serve a dozen fresh oysters, mussels, burgers, and lobster rolls, and the food is always fantastic, no matter what you choose. The staff is extremely friendly, and it’s my favorite spot to relax after work with oysters and sangria on the patio. I've been eagerly waiting for them to open, and I’m thrilled that they’re finally here!
Great food, outdoor sitting properly spaced, all the items on the menu are great. Calamari, fish and chips and all the seafood (overall) is super fresh (would dare to say it's delivered on the daily), Covid shorten the menu but if it's this good with asmall menu I can't wait to see the whole thing A
