Wow! What more can you ask for?<br/ For our New Years Eve dinner, a group of friends and I experienced the Nikuya premium buffet set $59 p.p). The selection was unbelievably good with the quality to match.<br/ <br/ Normally, the quality of a buffet is questionable but this was not the case. I've added photos to show what is included in the premium buffet. Note that it's in addition to the regular buffet.<br/ <br/ My favourite items were the wagyu oyster blade, wagyu skirt, scallops and the sashimi items. Can you believe these are unlimited??!!<br/ <br/ Even though the BBQ was electric powered, i prefer charcoal) you could still get a decent sear on the meats. The tiled floors were unusually...

I visited this restaurant specifically for the Baumkuchen. It was still early for dinner, so we appreciated the quiet atmosphere. The menu didn't have any pictures, so we were unsure of the portion sizes. My friend and I ordered gyoza, soba, mixed mushrooms, and grilled salmon. The portions were large, especially the grilled salmon - three sizable slices were served. We were already full before dessert, but we couldn't resist trying the Baumkuchen. A few minutes later, a generous serving of Baumkuchen with two scoops of ice cream arrived at our table. It was delicious, although I think I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't eaten so much beforehand.

We had the $60 premium buffet and were blown away by wonderful service (especially by a waitress called Nao- always attentive and ready to assist us) and delicious food. We originally heard of Nikuya because we were after some sashimi and we were quite impressed by the quality of both the sashimi and the BBQ, especially since it was a buffet style meal.I loved the decor as it is quite modern, and gives you a feeling of being in your own private space with the comfy booths that they provide, which seem to insulate you from the other diners.Definitely coming back here again when I have a craving for Japanese food!

Fantastic japanese restaurant with a great value hidden in Fortitude Valley! For only $59 (premium buffet) you can enjoy premium products (sashimi/prawns/scallops/wagyu steak vegetable, dumplings and more)! The experience is quite enjoyable as their are unique dining booths both inside and out and you get to cook your own meats to your liking! The staff were friendly, the ambience was nice (in both quiet and peak periods) and they also had a great range of drinks available. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back! My partner and I visited Nikuya Japanese for the first time and tried their 4-canapé sushi and BBQ for 2 during lunch, priced at $52. It was the best Japanese food we have ever had. The service was excellent, and the waiters were very helpful in explaining everything to us. We will definitely be returning in the future. We give it 5 stars. I highly recommend trying the 3 taster Sake's as they paired perfectly with our meal.

Really good bbq buffet!!! The premium buffet has so much variety with sashimi, sushi, noodles and great cuts of wagyu. The only issue I had was the service was very slow even though there were only 3 other tables that night. I’m not sure if they did that deliberately so that we ate less? Anyway, the food was nice and fresh. Lovely, spacious atmosphere. They validate parking as well!
