Puzzled by all the 5 star reviews which led us here in the first place. We went to No. 12 to celebrate my son's GCSES. We are all vegan and had looked forward to this event as the special occasion that it was, knowing that it would be around £80 a head and thinking that the tasting menu had so many courses, we would be nicely full by the end. The food WAS delicious and beautifully presented, or if it wasn't delicious because of the play with citric acid in the dessert courses, it was at least interesting and inventive. We were really excited to eat here for our anniversary dinner after seeing great reviews online. Positives the staff were really friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the food they served. The timing between courses was slow which might not be perfect for everyone but we enjoyed just chatting! Not so perfect…. We finished our drinks as the first course arrived and weren’t asked if we’d like any more for the duration of the meal. We were lucky enough to experience an excellent meal, served by lovely servers who really made our sons graduation lunch a worthy occasion. For reasons that are too boring to include here we inadvertently messed this restaurant around so much: changes of time, reduced numbers etc and they were consistently lovely about it all. The food was excellent and everything was explained. We felt really confident that we could trust them to safely handle our daughters nut allergy (they did). Thoroughly recommend No Twelve. The quality, variety, and blend of locally sourced ingredients in each dish offered outstanding flavours and textures, with each beautifully prepared and presented. My wife and I were ushered to our table immediately on arrival and served drinks, and the level of service throughput our evening was exemplary from friendly, engaging, and well informed staff who kept the serving tempo absolutely right within a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere… not easy and cleverly done. Overall, a very enjoyable experience in a great atmosphere with outstanding food and genuinely nice people… thoroughly recommended.

Booked by our daughter for a friends and family post wedding celebratory meal. We had space to ourselves behind the bar which perfectly accommodated our party including 2 young children one of whom needed a high chair which was provided. The food was excellent and a big thank you to the kitchen staff who even made something special for my step mum who has dementia so that it looked like her regular choice when she is taken out for a meal (requested in advance. Friendly and appropriately attentive staff were great. Highly recommended!
First time here and more than pleased with the variety and flavours of the tasting plates offered and the standard of ingredients and choice. Clearly a knowledgeable chef as it's not often I enjoy all vegan presented to me. The staff were very friendly and good humoured and seemingly interested in the food they were serving. I would recommend and, although it was my birthday treat and they didnt offer birthday greetings, that was of no consequence to me as I enjoyed everything about the place
This was a fantastic meal. We had the tasting menu with paired wines, and each course was wonderfully tasty, surprising and well thought out. This was a Saturday night and the restaurant was full, but service was still quick and well-informed. I’m not a vegan or a vegetarian but this was one of the best meals I’ve had. A great meal and a great place.
Haven’t been for about 3 months. Visited on date night. Laid back, friendly. Food is out of this world. Tastes are amazing. Every single mouthful was sensational. Highly recommend. Consistently excellent food. Well done to the owners.

Had a lovely meal here really tasty, well presented and with good service. We both usually eat meat and dairy so this was quite different for us, but would definitely recommend it!
