I'm puzzled why this place is shown as closed, it was certainly open for lunch when we had lunch there on Wednesday. We've been there on a semi regular basis for many years its never been closed. The food is really, cheap, excellent always consistent. Very quite at lunch times so hopefully they get better patronage of a night. Excellent really well priced.
Met a couple of friends for lunch and really enjoyed it. The restaurant area is bright and roomy and the menu has a lot of choices steaks, schnitzel, seafood and more. My steak was well cooked and the veggies and mash were also good. The staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back.
I came here last night for a meal before the Sydney FC game Unfortunately after 1 beer in a plastic cup we could not stand the smell of cigarette smoke! it permeates the whole bar and is disgusting.
Not as nice looking as the Allawah but still good and has the sweet non-Merivale prices. Seems to be one of the cheapest along this line outside of happy hour, not even a card surcharge.
