The curry chicken was so delicious! The meat falls off the bone and was very tender. I'm usually not one for meat on the bone but this is the exception as it's so good. I got a large order of the curry chicken. It was enough for 2 big meals. It was just as good reheated the next day. The fried plantains were amazing. I definitely need to order an additional side order of the plantains next time. Perfectly fried. I've eaten in the restaurant many times before and this was just as delicious as eating there in person.
My fiancée brought me to this restaurant on a whim, claiming it to be the best spot for authentic Jamaican cuisine, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious! Surprisingly, it reminded me a lot of my Cuban roots—who knew it had such Caribbean similarities? Nora, the hostess, welcomed us with such grace; she truly makes you feel like family as soon as you walk in. The vibrant artwork and colors transport you far away from New Jersey. I'm so glad I had the chance to experience this place. Thank you!
I ordered the large curry chicken and an even larger jerk chicken. The chicken was quite tasty, but the rice and peas, as well as the cabbage, didn't meet my expectations. They were a little underseasoned and not fully cooked. However, the plantains were excellent, and I was pleased with the packaging. I will definitely try dining in next time.
Without a doubt, this is the best food I have ever had. I ordered the large jerk chicken, mac and cheese, and beef patties. It's the first time I've ever called a restaurant just to tell them how fantastic their food was. Do yourself a favor and try something from this place. I ordered from this restaurant and had an amazing experience. The lady is incredibly sweet and helpful. They accept both cash and card payments. The ox tail is fantastic—so juicy and flavorful. Their curries are also delicious. Overall, the authentic Jamaican food tastes just like homemade.
beef patty was old from day before they just opened at 330 I orderd at 430 so did I have an old hard beef patty then my good was ok but not great I definitely won't be reordering and I'll be leaving a review on website people work hard for there money I expect what I pay for fresh food
The food is incredible, and the portions are generous—one meal can easily be enough for two people. I tried the oxtail with rice and the curry chicken with rice, and my family and I shared everything.
