North Sea Tavern - Table reservation

Although we had a reservation, they told us they had a private party and we could sit at the bar. It was absolutely freezing, I didn't think I could pull my coat out. They had room heating, but it was still unhappy cold. I asked for a **** Mary it came from a mixture and there was not even a lot of celery in there not even an olive. $13 I guess it's average, but I'd expect a little more. My husband's black shrimps came out and it was not darkened, it looked boiled. He was really disappointed, so he sent it back. This place is NOT a restaurant...it is totally and completely a rowdy bar! We found this place on Open Table when the restaurant we wanted to dine at was too busy. While the food was good and the service was decent, I was dismayed by the extremely rowdy bar scene. I was dining there with my husband abd two young children on a Friday night around 7 pm and we were the only table that was dining there everyone else was at the bar. My kids learned some new vulgar curse words from the clientele there and it was SO noisy from the bar crowd and the TVs that were in the dining area . The description on Open Table is so misleading please don 't let any other families share our mistake in dining there...

We are at the bar that was very comfortable. The staff was all kind and courteous and the food was really good. The prices were fair and the shares were of good size. We'll be back soon.

Great for kids with games in the back. Grilled fish tacos were pretty terrible but the bacon burger was good on a cold day.

Great dinner, great service. We would definitely go back. A bit out of the way but it was a great little local place.
