North Side Supermarket is a fantastic convenience store and supermarket. While some prices may be slightly higher than larger chains like Safeway due to economies of scale, you’re paying for quick convenience and wonderful staff. It’s an excellent spot to grab small items on your way to work or pick up quick meal options. They offer good fresh meat and a nice selection of beer. Highly recommended! On a side note, the store is located on the Emeryville/Oakland border (on the Oakland side) and uses the Emeryville area code, which also covers part of Oakland.
