the tavern is a large premises that apart from the restaurant and bar areas ,has a sports bar , a drive through bottle shop and plenty of parking.the restaurant area is clean tidy and comfortable , we were looked after by a very helpful staff member and the menu was large , which including a wide variety of selections.we chose the lamb shanks - large portions , very tasty sauce , with vegetables and cooked superbly - and the beef and vegetable pie , which contained tender beef , gravy , assorted vegetables and topped with a puff pastry lid ,once again , all very enjoyable and at a reasonable price.there are various offers on different days and for seniors , which are worth checking , before...

We as a group of friends go out for lunch every Wednesday and try to choose restaurants near by as we are getting older and more infirm. The Northlands does a Seniors lunch for $18 of a main and desert - excellent value and a nice menu. Their Sticky Date pudding is fantastic. They are also in the Entertainment Book which we use annually. Would certainly recommend. It is not often you feel like the staff have gone out of the way to be helpful - but this is always the case with the waitress at The Northlands, and why we going there so often.

There was nothing on the menu that was vegan or vegetarian but the kitchen was more than helpful to create a pasta dish. The young guy was fantastic and eager to help. They worked out I was vegan when I asked for the pasta without the cream sauce. So they created a tomato based sauce without the cheese without any fuss.My hubby had the chicken wrapped in spinach and bacon and it was excellent.Great atmosphere inside. Young guy at bar was friendly and offered to bring the next beer when we were ready. Book a table now

I chose the 'Seafood platter' which included Sauteed prawns, generous Squid and a good portion of battered fish with a few chips. Christine had the 'Fish of the Day', her favourite fish, which is Barramundi. Both were served quickly and were ample and delicious. The seafood supplier to the Ruby's Restaurant is to be congratulated. I always believe that the Chef can only work with what the Chef buys so both parts of the process get the tick of approval from us !!

Short notice went for sunday lunch. Settled for surf and turf, perfectly cooked steaks. Service efficient and fool served hot. Scott, is an asset to this pub, efficient and friendly and service with a smile. Will definitely return.

Whenever we go to a cheap weeknight steak night at pubs we don't expect much as the meal is so cheap but the steak here was large and perfectly cooked with a good amount of chips and salad - will definitely be back!

Called in for the $15 steak night which is value for money. Not overly large but just enough and cooked to my liking. Not much of an atmosphere but it was a cold, wet Wednesday night! Worth a try. Book a table now

I arrived a minute after closing time with no expectations. Could not have been more helpful. Had as good a Chicken Parmy as I have ever had, very happy.
