Our family went to the Northshore yesterday after our grandfather's funeral. There was about 15 of us, we were not in any rush and did not mind waiting for our drinks as we could see there was only one person behind the bar. The girl behind the bar was so rude, as if we were inconveniencing her by being there - asking if we had a booking and complaining that she was the only bartender working (there were five other people in the entire bar and another waitress/bartender floating around). My boyfriend and I ate here yesterday. We are new to the area and this is the closest tavern to us. We had a chicken Parma and chicken stuffed with spinach and ricotta. The chicken Parma was beautifully cooked however the sides of chips and salad for was small and the salad not overly fresh. The stuffed chicken was also really nicely cooked but we were disappointed with the lack of sides, a parsnip purée, a few beans and what seemed to be an onion? We were hoping for a good hearty meal with lots of veg. Would also have been nice to have the option of veg with the Parma
Popped into the Northshore this evening for dinner with friends. I had the crispy skin barramundi served with wild rice bok choy, gremolata and a red curry beurre Blanc. I also had a side of green vegetables. The fish was beautifully cooked, but unfortunately the red curry beurre Blanc lacked flavour. The Bok choy on the main, and the side of vegetables all had sand through it. So did the gremolata. With a little bit of extra care and spice it could be a fabulous dish, unfortunately it just didn't hit the spot for me!

We had an Entertainment Book voucher (buy one main meal, get one free), which made our night affordable, however, I think the prices are a bit high, especially for drinks. I had the veggie burger and my husband had a beef burger, and we thought everything tasted good, except for the sauce they put on the side, which tasted very sour. The chips were cooked perfectly. I think it would be an ok place to visit occasionally, but we weren't wowed by anything either.
Every time I've been there I've been very impressed from the minute I've walked through the door from being greeted at the bar with a smiling face prompt service and please people do yourself a favour a try the jungle curry it's to die for the beers always cold on tap good atmosphere friendly staff dj andy does good job behind the turntables pleasant surroundings for a good night out do yourself a favour and get down and take the north beach tavern for a spin .
Had dinner at Northshore tonight. Ordered Chicken Parmi & steak, food was very good & friendly service. It was a different service, when you arrive take a menu and order at the bar, find the seat by yourself and pick up the order. Great layout and decoration, beach theme. On Monday the kids eat free and free entertainment, we might come again on Monday :)
Well being surfers this place is the bomb for us! Food is delicious the pizza is absolutely beautiful the Steak cooked to perfection well priced friendly staff. It is the hidden gem that needs to be shared!

Relaxed dining with great, family friendly food great for gluten free peeps too. The service is fast and friendly! I also love the diversity of the live entertainment on offer. Thanks guys
waited 70 minutes for average food. bartender complained about having to make an espresso martini, next time we ordered an espresso martini there was no espresso in it.
