Simply horrible service. I have stayed away from Not Your Average Joe 's for over 5 years due to two previous horrible experiences in a row. It was New Year 's Eve and most restaurants were booked so I agreed to give it another try. The restaurant was at about 20% capacity but still, the service was awful and, like my previous horrible visits, no manager came around at any point during the meal. Everything involved with service was SEVERELY lacking. From only having three glasses of water for seven people delivered (and asking multiple times before the rest were brought), to never refilling drinks, to not bringing sweetener for the iced teas (until asked twice), to bringing two meals, then a...
Be sure to start with the Focaccia and cheese before your meal – it was fantastic! We ordered the homemade New England Haddock and absolutely loved it. The potatoes weren't to my taste, but they were well-prepared. The service was outstanding. All staff wore masks until guests were seated, and there was ample space between tables in both the indoor and outdoor areas. We felt very safe dining inside.
We were delighted with our first visit to a Not Your Average Joe's restaurant. The menu offered a wide assortment of selections, the prices were moderate, the service was attentive, and the setting is very attractive. Also, the restaurant was quiet enough that we could easily carry on a conversation over lunch. We are looking forward to our next visit to the restaurant.

Great food. I had the jumbalaya pasta, it was very hearty with tons of flavor. Everything was cooked perfect. I sat at the bar and had a beer with dinner. Decent selection of the normals and some local brews on tap. Bartender was very attentive and had a great attitude. I would recommend to anyone and I will be back.
The best meat drink I've ever had in my life! Finish it as fast as you conversate with a business partner! Known for their excellent service and delicious dishes, people come from DC and to the north like Frederick to keep meeting here! Absolutely recommended!!
American food, mmm, so great. Good place to hang and eat some good food. Service treated us so nice. It has a good atmosphere. Like a restaurant in Washington I liked.
