With a pescatarian amongst our group Google pointed us to O Bistro Vigniode, not far from our hotel. What a little gem! Booking via email was uncomplicated; even late in the evening two days prior confirmation came promptly. The atmosphere was welcoming, our waiter (the owner? extremely patient and helpful with explanations and translation matters. The menu was small, but by no means lacking. Entrée, mains and dessert came at a leisurely pace, plating was aesthetic and sophisticated, portion sizes just perfect, and everything was delicious. Thank you for having us. Coming here is a must if you love fish and seafood and visit the area. The only thing I would add as constructive criticism is t...

we had the Euro-Lunch menu – very generous portions. when we went, we had a selection of seafood starters or Chevre-Miel with green salad, and a selection of two fishes for our main course – salmon and heavy fish. both came with accompanying sauces, a cream sauce for the salmon and a soy sauce for the hard fish, and both were well prepared, not dry or overcooked at all. the dessert that we made for the cream brulee, homemade was a wonderful finish. very beautifully decorated, very friendly staff. you can also order oysters with the meal, but seafood can be ordered for special events. the owner knows fish and the cook knows how to cook them.

It was our first visit at this restaurant and I was happy to have discovered it. The menu is small, but the selection is appetizing. The owner is passionate about food and did a good job of explaining the dishes to us. There was a mistake with one of our starters, which the owner corrected right away and went above and beyond to make up for the mix up. I really appreciated the attention to detail, generosity of the owner and staff (They showed very kind gestures as it was my birthday), and the delicious meal we enjoyed. I would recommend this restaurant and would be happy to return to support this local business.
