The BEST service, atmosphere and food!! Homemade braised beef ravioli was delectable surrounded by al dente pasta and a delicious dark, thick brown gravy. Flavorful King crab served with lemon and butter melted in your mouth. Mashed potatoes and cream spinach were excellent sides. Rolls served with dinner were great tasting. A tip if you?re a party of two, ask to be seated upstairs by the window. Great view of the city. Another tip if you dine on Sundays they offer $40
It was my birthday and I wanted to treat myself to a special meal. So I checked out many places and decided on the Oak. I went about 8:15 and sat at the bar. The bartender was excellent. She did a great job. I ordered the chopped salad to start, which looked good, but the dressing was a bit salty. I went with the NY strip for my steak, with creamed spinach. Loved this restaurant. We we sat on the 3rd floor by the window next to the fireplace. Its was peaceful more quiet. But just perfect. I loved the ambiance and historical design of this building mire than 100 years old. High ceilings and it felt airy. The food was on point. Simple menu but just perfect. the room I was in would be the perfect date place or a family dinner. A must experience.
Great atmosphere! Everything from start to finish was awesome. Food was great and seasoned to perfection. We ordered the mix grill, King Crab, and Oysters Rockefeller. Reservations are a must. Due to it being a popular spot, set your reservations at least a few days in advance. Trying to get a table the day of is possible, but highly unlikely, especially on the weekends. Book a table now
whoa. Yellowtail tasted way too "fishy" and the so-called pastrami shortribs were greasy pastrami. Both were $ 30. Robbery. We gave our feedback to the bartender (we were sitting at the bar) and he made no effort to "get it right". I will not be back. The dining room was nice ... parking was awful in the neighborhood.
Incredible service and food! My husband and I returned to Charleston and Oak Steakhouse was the first place we wanted to have dinner at. Our food was cooked to perfection and our waiter was the most attentive. Will definitely come back when we visit Charleston again.
Excellent selection of beers, reliably delicious food and great service. If you don't have a reservation, it's usually easy to secure a spot at the bar for a full dining service. A neighborhood favorite.
