I typically have fantastic experiences at Oberweis and always look forward to visiting when I'm near one, but I was let down this time. I faced complications while ordering my usual customized banana royale, something I've been ordering for over 20 years. The new system attempted to charge me for substituting ice creams and toppings, but fortunately, the manager intervened when I raised my concerns. Although my preferred flavors made it into the dish, the whipped cream was flat, and instead of pecans, I received peanuts—definitely not what I wanted. The ice cream was also too soft, resulting in a presentation that was a mess, as you can see in the picture—something that should never have bee...
The quality of the food is consistently excellent. One of the perks of paying $8.00 for a milkshake while dining in is that it’s typically served in a frozen schooner glass. However, my son and I recently received our milkshakes in glasses that had just come out of the dishwasher. While I appreciated that they were clean, the hot glasses caused our shakes to melt within minutes. I even inquired if they had any cold glasses available, but the staff said no and didn’t seem to care. I was quite disappointed.
Oberweis has some amazing milk, especially the chocolate milk, which I absolutely love. Their cookies and cream shakes are also fantastic—so rich and delicious! I usually visit this location's drive-thru, but tonight I came inside and was assisted by Haven, who provided exceptional customer service. I was really impressed! This establishment offers high-quality products, and their ice cream is both premium and delicious. While I may not agree with the owner's political views, there's no denying that their ice cream is exceptional. In fact, their hot fudge sundae is the best I've tasted in the area. Book a table now
Great service! Always smiling and friendly, and the ice cream is incredible! We had our three German Shepherds with us in the car and they so kindly offered puppy ice cream cups for them! Which was very sweet and so very appreciated!
The ice cream here is amazing, and the staff are really friendly. However, I'm curious why the dining area is still closed. It made sense during the COVID pandemic, but it would be great to enjoy dining in now.
Absolutely ridiculous—do not go here! The ice cream is freezer burnt, and they charge $1.59 just to remove toppings, not to add them! I tried to give them another chance, but it's just not worth it.
