that was our first experience in this restaurant. we enjoy teriyaki dinners in Japanese restaurants, but the bark and salmon were warm, far from the shlittel on a dish and with warm jarred soy sauce drowned. never order teriyaki dinner or combed deep fried calamari in this restaurant. we complained to the manager that no one came to our table to ask how everything was. I wanted to send the food back, but my husband was so hungry that he ate our dinner and didn't want to wait. we were told by the manager that sushi is her specificity and the items we ordered were clearly not. they gave a balance to our dissatisfaction. I recommended taking this item from their menu. very disappointed!
The service and ambiance was very good. The food was acceptable. We are used to going to Kenko Sushi in Lincoln Park which is rated the best sushi in NJ and it is. So we held this up to a very high standard. I had the sweet potato tempura roll and the banana cucumber roll. The sweet potato tempura roll was tasty but small. The banana cucumber roll was delicious but small. A very unique combo that I truly enjoyed. It wasn’t too sweet either. It was good but I’m not sure if I would return.
The sushi here was outstanding, but the atmosphere and service were rather average. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our dishes; both the sushi and sashimi were fresh and tasty. The special rolls were innovative and delightful. My daughter, who ordered the vegetable lo mein, also found her meal enjoyable. The service was acceptable but not especially welcoming or friendly. It was a peaceful Monday evening with only a handful of tables occupied, and that suited us perfectly.

Situated in Caldwell, this sushi restaurant truly impressed me. They have an excellent selection of fresh sushi, featuring options like Uni and Saba that are often rare to find elsewhere. The only drawback was the use of imitation crab meat in their Sushi Deluxe and Chirashi dishes. The staff was friendly, although the service was a bit slow—something that's reasonable on a busy occasion like Valentine's Day.
better than average sushi spot in caldwell. beautiful selection of fresh sushi. they actually had fresh uni and saba on the menu that many less places not. my only knock was that they use mock or fake crumb meat in the frame of their sushi deluxe and chirashi offers. the service was friendly but a bit o the slow side. but I will cut them a bit black as it was Valentine's Day.
great sushi, mediocre ambiente and service. we enjoyed everything we ordered. sushi and sashimi were fresh and tasty; the special rolls were kreatiw and tasty. my daughter ordered sweet lo main and loved that too. service was good, not friendly but efficient. there were very few tables that were occupied on a Monday night, which was good of us.
This was my first time ordering from this restaurant, and I chose the sashimi sushi dinner along with a spicy tuna roll. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. They definitely made a great first impression on me. I would definitely recommend them!
