Oetlinger Buvette - Table reservation

A cozy open space next to the Rhine. There is no service to the tables, one should order and get their drinks at the little counter. There are several tables with view to the river, a nice spot to chill out a bit. If it is cold they have blankets for the costumers. There is an extra charge for the use of the glasses that one gets back when one returns the glasses. Offer for food is small, they mostly serve cold and warm drinks. Price is average for Basel. At some hours of the day it is a crowded place, so if you want to find a free table better trying early in the morning or in a cloudy day. Otherwise sitting with the drink at the side of the river is of course an option.

Great location. The best was a bit expensive, but again, you are on the sunny side of the embankment, they provide tables and chairs and, if busy area, you can sit by the steps overlooking the river and the people floating in the river. They also do cocktails and some snack foods. If you take the glass away you leave 2 euros deposit. Bring it back to get a refund. Friendly staff inside the wagon

Always a good idea in summer for a coffee beside the beautiful Rhein. Gotta love the location and easy-going attitude of the people.
