In the area for 5 days and branch food-wise. Oh Mama Grill is fabulous! It's a little tricky to see, doesn't look like much on the outside, but oh the flavors when you go in! The line looked like she stopped, but quickly moved. They order in front and while there are tables, a birthday party took most of them. The people behind the counter that we are very apological about the storms for seats. I decided to take my dinner back to the hotel. When I explained my food allergies, they were taken seriously. Ate lunch there recently, rediscovering this small gem. The schwarma was superb: tasty with the accents that suggest the Eastern Mediterranean rather than a place within 15 miles of the White House. The food is fresh, the spices authentic. We were there after the normal lunch hours, since there were plenty of seats. While this is first visit in months, the sole reason is that the place is very popular, with a seating at some times a bit of a challenge.
Made to order good food at fair prices. Many decisions in this area and this facility is good. It's on a busy corner that connects to other shops in a strip ball. Once inside, go to the counter and order. The staff is polite and helpful. Menu is simple and there are specials on the counter. Tried the Falafel and Shawarma. Both portion sizes were a lot and adjustment options were great.
I was very impressed. The shawarma is among the best I've had in the in the U.S. The line could have been moved a bit faster if the kitchen was a bit more integrated but I can hardly hold that against a relatively new store. The food was delicious, the employees were pleasant, what more can I really ask for?
