Had a chance to visit Oiso in Cary tonight, which sits in a smaller shopping center next to Harris teeter from Maynard Rd it is a smaller restaurant that is based on corean... It serves sushi and some Korean entrees.. So it checked out and had eaten the following dishes: Chef Kim's Roll, which is tuna, salmon, white tuna(escolar), snapper, spicy crab, Zilantro and crab stick in Daikon wrap, with special Ponzu sauce... this role was delicious .. It is one of the heavier options on reels, but the daikon gave him a lil extra love for an already delicious role. Crispy Rice, this is a spicy tuna and avocado served on deep fried rice... I am a high maintenance galaxy w/ abdominal problems, so in recent years I have made keto, which basically meant no sushi. 3 words- CUCUMBER. SUSHI. Life changed, I cried about it in the car home. Our sweet waitress even offers special gluten-free soy sauce for us. Seriously, she was an angel. Best service and food I had in Cary.
One of the best sushi and Udon places in Cary. We tried the seafood and Tempura Udons that were pretty good. But the sushi was authentic and excellent?. Had the 'Firestation' role that was amazing, and better suited for those who prefer a bit of spice.
This is a quaint and delicious little sushi spot. Price point is about average for the area. The portions are generous and the service is fast and friendly. Everything came out quickly and tasted great.
