We were on holiday in the area and saw on TA that this place does excellent Sunday lunches, so I called them up and tried to book a table. The lady I spoke to said they don’t take phone bookings, she couldn’t see the booking...system and told me to use the website online system. So I did. I submitted the Form and got an automated acknowledgment. I heard nothing back. On the morning of our booking I rang the restaurant and politely enquired if they could accommodate us for lunch … the same lady said “hold on, I’ll check” and she came back saying they were fully booked! Half an hour before my requested booking, I got an email confirming they were full. What a complete shambles of a booking sys...
What do you want me to say? After I saw this restaurant on TV, I decided to “Let them try it” they do not take bookings via the phone, they book on their website / hub. we have managed to get a booking for Easter Sunday, and this “family-run business” is/very nice. the decoration is in the did lonely. eating from the appetizers, to roast main (sunday) to dessert, is plentiful; there is no way to go, starving absolutely “not” the staff are friendly and attentive to their needs. I love the soul music that plays soft in the background; some good melodies. the ambiente is great. the price was very reasonable. we will definitely visit Olby’s in margate
On a cold and foggy Saturday lunchtime, Margate's restaurants were full, so it was a relief to find a table here and an unexpected bonus to enjoy a delicious meal. My falafel and spinach burger came layered with salad and mango chutney, whereas my...partner managed to demolish his Soul Stack burger despite its height. Nice atmosphere, efficient and unobtrusive service, an extensive bar including real ale on tap, fine value.
our first visit here has heard good accounts. we went to Sunday dinner, for example to the best roast on the coast. I have to say it was really excellent. I had the lamb roast, which was huge and very delicate meat and many. together with this beautiful, courteous staff, often ask if there is something else we needed. good service and eating. we had no place for the desert! highly recommended.

super Sunday roast today in tricky conditions with a stream cut! very well done to all affected. highly recommended. if they want to make a suggestion, it would be more pleasant for the diner if the bar door was used for the entrance to the road, especially with a north wind blowing.
so impressed by olbys today. there were of us with two young children and the staff was brilliant, attentive and courteous, and eating was delicious. I highly recommend her frying dinner chocolate puddings. really impressed by olbys, eating and.

We visited on Sunday with our son and his family. Superb meal delicious and well cooked. Service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.
