in general, the oldenburger hof is an old-occupied restaurant and has been in family ownership for generations. before the restaurant was known for its defigent spears and lush portions. that seems to have changed with the change of generation 2010, the son took over the lead. later operation of the young service was friendly, attentive and fleeting. they didn't have to wait long for drinks and feed. we had the oldenburger hof classic bark soup with a small bark at 3,00 €. she tasted very good, but it was only 1 small mark in a soup pot. the service addressed to it has apologised and immediately a supplement from the kitchen can happen. as the main course there were rucolasalat with baked to...

I happened upon this restaurant by chance on a Sunday afternoon drive through this part of Saarland. There are not many restaurants in the area so I was lucky to find somewhere serving reasonably priced local produce. I chose to eat outside to enjoy the afternoon sunshine and watch the world go by. Although I dined outside I can say that the interior of this restaurant is comfortable and in keeping with the historical appearance of the building. The staff are extremely polite and knowledgeable about the food they serve. My first language is not German so the waitress that served me was most helpful in helping me to select my food.
