It was my first time in Rahway and first time trying Jamaican food. Food is really great at this place, and you get a lot of food for the price. I had the chicken in roti and so did my friend. Chicken was seasoned very nice and I especially enjoyed the shredded texture of the chicken. We also tried the corn chowder as they were doing the soup stroll on the Saturday we went--corn chowder was great too. Service was good and it seems like a family owned place, which is always nice to support especially during the pandemic. One of the staff (I'm assuming the owner) gave my friend and I a free red velvet cupcake which was really sweet!
The food price for the oxtail is too expensive. I ordered an oxtail dinner and got two oxtails, which only had fat and bone. There was no meat whatsoever. I also ordered a side of j chicken and it was not fresh; it was a day or two old. The breast was hard and dried out as well as the leg. A complete waste of money
Great service, amazing food and so authentic! The perfect mom and pops restaurant. You have to try for yourself! Oxtail, curry chicken and brown stewed chicken were all amazing. Appetizers and desert were also great. The mango drink is also such an original! Hefty portions. We will be back!
Food was great but I didn’t taste the Mac n chese ox tails on point empanadas good fried chicken good rice n beans good and the homemade Mango juice is Island good! Worse thing is the parking and meter maid’s harassing you. Location is not big but comfortable.

This is a cozy little spot where only a few people can sit down for a meal, but most customers come here to pick up their orders. The food is excellent, and the woman who works there—presumably the owner—is very helpful.
This was my first visit here. I had the stewed chicken and it was fabulous. I didn't know I lived so close to the secret gem. It will be my good to for comfort food.
The food was quite disappointing. The chicken I received did not taste fresh at all. I'm really unhappy with this experience and definitely won't be returning.
The food was very disappointing and overpriced. For $14, I only received two small pieces of chicken, which I found to be quite unacceptable.

Gaaawd!! Go here. Just go here! If I lived around this area it'd be my prime spot. Spice yes, but perfect balance. Try the juices too.
