On The Turps - Table reservation

A lovely setting in a lush jungle environment. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat in a classic FNQ rainforest then this is a gem. Don’t go there expecting an extensive menu of Michelin Star dishes because this isn’t that. What it is is a small range of simple well prepared dishes, using quality produce, which are better than anything else I’ve tried in the Daintree area.

I stayed at the Heritage Lodge and made a reservation for dinner at 'On the Turps.' It was one of the best meals I've had in years! I ordered kangaroo with mashed potatoes and vegetables, as well as cannelloni. The presentation was stunning, and everything was cooked to perfection! The photos really don't capture how incredible it was! Breakfast was equally delicious and well-prepared for COVID safety.

The location is wonderful, nestled in the heart of the rainforest. The food is excellent, and as vegetarians, we were pleased to find some great options. It's slightly off the main road, so don't be concerned if you find yourself driving down a rocky path—it’s all part of the journey!

This restaurant is likely one of the best in the area, though it comes with a higher price point. The food was good, but it didn't leave a strong impression. Unfortunately, the coffee wasn't very good either. Book a table now

In the middle of no where is this fantastic place! Great staff great food, rolled out of there!
