We came for lunch with a group of about 20 on 18th October 1 pm. We both had pre-chosen sausage bubble and squeak cake onion gravy. Absolutely appalling to be charged £15 each for meal. The 1 long sausage had no substance nor flavour, the 1 only bubble/squeak cake comprised obviously pre-cooked and left over potatoes and nothing else and the onion gravy had only. 2 or 3 pieces of sliced onion. A total disappointment and you have a cheek to charge £15 for this Jill and Peter Freeborn
The family enjoyed a terrific Sunday lunch here. Portion size choice were up there with the best we’ve encountered. Great options of sides, which is where most fall down. Lovely beer and a beautiful walk along the canal afterward. The kids enjoyed playing in garden (playframe and goats! we’ll return Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
This is a real pub, the staff are so accomadating. We popped in for a lunchtime meal the menue was varied and good pub food with acceptable prices.the No delay on food. The pub garden is very well laid Out right next to an idilic...canal. The lady working there is a gem, great service friendly funny, great customer service.
Lovely food, friendly pub and staff, went on Sat night when Rugby on so bit noisy but no issues. Really loved the menu and huge choice. If any slight critique it would be to have a separate dining area but I understand it's a proper pub not a restaurant and I would love to go back again. Tasty food and chilled atmosphere with a long riverside walk nearby to go on before or after. Not bad prices for what you get and most importantly they're dog friendly! A treat for us. Lovely walk along the canal, then Sunday lunch. Huge plate of food and a great deal of meat. Didn't bother with pudding, but I would have liked more choice if I'd had the room.
