This was my second visit to the Opel Zoo restaurant and both occasions did not let me down. Both visits were with friends from Frankfurt who suggested this as a different location for a great meal. When we go to the Opel Zoo we pick a nice sunny day ... because the best thing after a long and nice day in the Zoo is to go to the Restaurant, have a bear and enjoy some of the good meals snacks...there. The food was good, dont get me wrong but I felt that the price for food was over the top for the selection. Atmosphere is fantastic in a unique zoo like setting you hope the giraffe comes to the window but the views of the...rabbit enclosure and beyond leave something to be desired... No the giraffe doesnt come to the window but the appearance of the set up is as if he would.... Wine is even MORE expensive generally more than times what it is on the shelf purchased retail so be prepared to have a hefty bank balance when you go there. I liked the restaurant, the decorations, the menu etc. the personal was friendly and supports us in the selection of our meals and desserts. the steak was one of the best I have eaten (it comes in several cuts and they must choose the supplement separately). that was dessert. but it is not lost when they skip it. can't say anything about the view and the zoo, because we were there in the evening and stayed inside. but worth seeing.

Steaks were very good but you pay above market. Nice view of distant Frankfurt from hills outside of city. Ala carte menu with nice wine selection. Parking close by and a nice atmosphere
