Open Range - Calgary

First visit was Valentine’s Day. Was easy to find and plenty of street parking. My reservation did not come up but was seated right away. The tables are close together but was still comfortable. The ambiance was soothing and comfortable. The chairs could use a sprucing up though. And the ceiling. It took a bit of time to get our drinks but not overly. After that we had no service complaints. We really enjoyed the game on the menu my wife had the Wild Boar and I had the Bison Brisket and both were very tasty and well presented. I gave only 4 stars for service because even though the waiter was very friendly and warned us about not ordering too much food, he didn't have much to say about the wine list and some of his skills were a bit off, e.g. giving us back our knives from the appetizer. All in all, a nice quiet restaurant that served very good food and had a wine list that was very reasonable.

Husband’s birthday was lovely due to great service and fantastic food. Thanks for the berry pie to go! Great music and cocktails.

this was a wonderful and somewhat random surprise and amazing culinary experience. we will definitely return.
