The restaurant is nestled on the outside of the city wall. The signage is inadequate to direct you to the customer's parking. Instead of a gravel surface, we wound up parking in the mud with the employees.The restaurant has a large manicured lawn and garden and even several rows of grape vines. The interior is modern and trimmed in stained, industrial grade lumber which gives a fleeting impression of elegance. The menu and wine list are not nearly as extensive as that on the website implies, but it still speaks of elegance. My wife and I each ordered from the wild offerings. Both dishes looked wonderful, however my Hirsch was a little on the tough side. My wife's Wild boar was like shoe leat...
quiet, nice little place with a pleasant atmosphere at the sun terrace to the park garden. the food is too expensive for what you get. Tasteful and from it can only average and from the price/performance too expensive. for eating there are better addresses in schärding but for staying and drinking we find it especially recommended.
the orangery is a place to arrive and feel comfortable. the service is extremely warm and attentive, the kitchen cooks from the finest. we spent a afternoon and an evening and were all satisfied. prices are absolutely appropriate for the quality offered. special highlight is the glass-wise ausschank von natural/ orange weeping.
