Absolute disgrace is all that I can say. Never have I ever felt the need to write a bad review for a place but tonight was an exception. Myself and my partner were celebrating our close friends 30th birthday party and decided to spend our night in the orient hotel! We were having a great night until one of the bouncers randomly picked my partner out of the crowd and decided to throw him out. It was pouring rain outside so I grabbed my bag and jacket and left as quick as I could so my partner wasn't alone. My husband and I went to visit my son and his girlfriend in Sydney. We were enjoying a catch up and a few drinks on Friday night (St Patricks day), the pub was really full, but we had managed to find a seat and table on the first floor. Having been overcharged at the bar by $31 we were asked to leave as my husband (aged 48) had had too much to drink (we had only consumed two drinks?). Last night we decided to visit The Orient Hotel to listen to the great music there. I had decided to give it another go after observing some appalling bad behaviour in the past by the security staff in their treatment of bar guests. We had just been to a beautiful dinner at Mr Wong for my 51st birthday. I was proudly out celebrating with my husband, three sons and their beautiful girlfriends.
