Everything we've ordered here has been delicous. Bourbon chicken is 10/10, sauce is so good. Hot braised chicken is made just they made it at that great little Chinese takeout place on Broadway back in the 80s-90s. Oriental Star still has the big eggrolls. Seems like all of the restaurants serve teeny-tiny eggrolls with a stingy amount of cabbage. Call in your order and it's ready in about 15mins. Lunch special is two meals for me. Egg foo yung lunch special is three meals! Restaurant is tidy but we always get takeout. Never had a wrong order in 10+ years. Love this restaurant!
I CANNOT recommend the pork egg foo young lunch special. It is loaded with salt , and my blood pressure sky rocketed to an immediate headache and a salty taste in my mouth. I stopped here to place a to-go order in between appointments. This is my first and last visit. I went online to look for ways to decrease salt intake. I immediately went to Walmart for a banana and apple cider vinegar ? to go with my water.
Went for carry out on Christmas Eve. At the time I was the only customer. How sad!The Asian food was wonderful! Everything was piping hot when we brought it home. The egg roll was crisp and perfectly fried. The Hot and Sour soup was both. The Egg Foo Young was filled with fresh vegetables, likewise the Fried Rice.We will return and this restaurant deserves your patronage. You will not be disappointed.
I ordered General Tso's Chicken, and it was just mediocre. There was hardly any spice to it. I also wanted to try the Crab Rangoon, but when I found out it didn't come with Sweet and Sour sauce, I decided to cancel that order. I really don't understand why any Chinese restaurant wouldn't serve Sweet and Sour sauce with Crab Rangoon. I definitely won't be returning.

I was craving Chinese food, so I looked up some nearby options and discovered this small, hidden gem. The flavors were spot on, and the service was quick, which was perfect since I was on my lunch break. For a small restaurant, they exceeded my expectations. I'm so glad they're just a short distance from my house. Today, Oriental Star earns my praise!
Absolutely worst food I’ve ever had! I was an Executive Chef for 42 years and never like to harm restaurant owners but this is just bad food made with cheap ingredients. Don’t waste your money!
Very recently open to sit inside- not much going on after 2+years pickup only. Lunch specials are great value.I love the beef or shrimp lo mien, egg rolls, crab rangoons.
