the food here looked and smells delicious. sad for us, although it was the food that the employed have brought out for themselves to eat. our eating was cold, funky and unusable. they also have the hit I personally impressed. After a negative experience, where we were served cold and extremely hard food, we called the restaurant before heading there for dinner tonight. We were told that the buffet was fresh due to how busy they were. However, when we got home and tried to eat the food, we couldn't even pierce it with a fork. We called the restaurant to address the issue and were told that we should have used a spoon to break the food before taking it home. We mentioned that we had paid $30 for food that was inedible, but were essentially told that it was our problem. This response left us feeling disgusted with the establishment. I am sorry to say that the "meatballs" were essentially just flour with no meat. All of the fried Chinese dishes were also just flour without any meat. The Orange Chicken and other chicken dishes did not contain any chicken, except for the diligent. The only positive aspect was that the staff were welcoming, but I couldn't overlook the disappointing "meatballs". I am giving two stars because the baked fish was good and the chow mein was tasty.
Chicken is so hard you can't chew one piece. I called to ask to get some tomorrow to make up for not being able to eat any dinner tonight, but I was told no!! I will never go back here!! $8 wasted. Worst Chinese restaurant EVER. Food was cold, the Lo-mein was overcooked and hard, the beef had no meat, only tendons and fat, the sweet and sour chicken had no flavor at all, just plain awful!! Got food from here and got food poisoning right after... Never getting food from here again.... If you eat here stay close to a toilet trust me you are going to need it. The meal was decent, not bad, but it seemed as though it was cooked the day before as it was very chewy and tough. Additionally, I got food poisoning from this restaurant. I would not recommend it and suggest going to Best Kitchen or Tokyo Beijing instead.
Oriental star is family owned and operated, I recently found out they make their own sauces, they've been open my entire and one of my favorites my entire life!
