I was let down by this restaurant. I anticipated a unique atmosphere, especially since it’s an original Schlitz tavern, but it felt just like any typical dive bar inside. The club music was particularly odd; it didn’t match the low-key vibe of the place at all. The mozzarella sticks were bland and too dense, lacking that desirable cheese pull. On the positive side, my grilled chicken was juicy and well-cooked, although it needed more seasoning—thankfully, honey mustard helped. My husband enjoyed his burger. The service was good, but overall, I can’t really recommend this spot. At least it was very affordable.
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed for no apparent reason! Ordered the 'special ' beer cheese burger and if every burger I had the rest of my life tasted like that burger, I would be absolutely fine with that! Delicious burger, crispy fries, and one of their absolutely STACKED Bloody Mary 's if you 're so inclined, what more could you ask for! Staff was friendly and available should you need anything. There 's a reason I keep coming back to Soblemans after 20 years, it 's great and never disappoints!
The Bloody Mary served here is exceptional, with multiple options to choose from, including one showcasing a fried chicken, two burgers, bacon-wrapped cheese, shrimps, and green garnish. I indulged in the fish and chips, which were excellent, and the fried pickles were delectable. My husband delighted in the signature double cheeseburger. The establishment boasts a distinctive charm, situated in an industrial zone with free parking. Everyone was nice and accommodating.
Fantastic! Went before a concert. Place was packed but Sobelmans handled it like a champ! There was even a man being taken out on stretcher and they didn't miss a beat! All employees were fabulous and food was delicious as ever! Had burgers. Would highly recommend Sobelmans when in Milwaukee! Book a table now
Free burgers on your birthday! The appetizers are all delightful, and we've had the same servers multiple times, which shows great staff retention. There can be a wait at times, but it's always worth it!
In the middle of what was an industrial section of Milwaukee, stay lays a very old tavern that serves local beer, Amazing Bloody Mary and fast food! Sooo good!
The burgers were incredibly fresh and delicious; even when we were full, we didn't want to leave any behind. I will definitely be coming back!
