Disappointed with my experience at Orinoco. The service was terrible—our server took so long to acknowledge us that we wondered if we were supposed to order online. Once we did order, the food took ages to arrive. We ordered appetizers but never received small plates or extra napkins, just the one with the silverware. As Latinos who know what a good arepa should be, mine was burnt—completely black on the bottom. Even without that, it wasn’t a good arepa at all. Don’t even get me started on the tequeños. The more generic dishes like salmon or ribs were okay, but nothing special—you can get those anywhere. The sangria supposedly was amazing, but it wasn’t, and it was overloaded with cinnamon....
We had a fantastic experience at Orinoco! Even though it was a busy Saturday night and they were short-staffed, the team handled everything exceptionally well. We waited about 20-25 minutes, which gave us time to appreciate the beautiful decor. The atmosphere was great, with lovely details everywhere. I especially enjoyed the mix of textures on the walls and ceilings, and the lighting was simply perfect and elegant.

What a fantastic find! We're so happy we discovered Orinoco. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Our food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're in the Brookline area.
After all these years still providing great service, food and drink. Everything we ordered was delicious. Had the tuna and an arepa. Cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Bartender was friendly, informative and provided great service.

I absolutely loved Orinoco when I lived in Boston a few years ago, so I brought some friends along when I revisited the city. I really appreciate their unique menu with the toast ordering system.
We went to Orinoco for Valentine's Day. They don’t take reservations, so you can only walk in, and they close at 8:30pm. I'm not sure about their menu hours on weekends.
