The food was excellent, this is our second visit. On our first visit we ate downstairs and this time we were upstairs. The restaurant was not full so this did make the atmosphere a little flat although the food made up for this. This is a relaxed restaurant with friendly staff, it very much feels like a family business which we liked (Just to give an idea, the staff all took a break half way through the night and sat in the restaurant for a meal). As long as you go and expect an informal approach then you will not be disappointed, the food is wonderful.
I saw this on line and thought that we would give it a try . What a find , the staff we were really friendly and helpful , this was our first experience with Korean food . They were happy to advise us in our food choice . The food was out of this world , we will definitely be returning .
Friends came over from the other side of the country, took ages to find the resto in York, got there and it was closed, no lights, door locked and no sight of service, was very dissapointed, I feel completely let down by this service, no answer on the restaurant telephone number either
This restaurant is absolutely charming, with delicious freshly prepared dishes and impeccable service. The experience was perfectly complemented by a large glass of ice-cold Sauvignon Blanc. I highly recommend it.

The best burger in York! The Jack and coke were excellent. Denis was a fantastic host. Looking forward to seeing the renovations when they are finished. Will definitely be back in December. Nan and Ed.
We love stopping by Mason's whenever we are in York. The food and service are always excellent. The haddock is beautiful and the battered halloumi is amazing!
