I spent one saturday evening at La Norma to celebrate a birthday with some friends. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere that invites you to sit down longer than you planned to :) Make sure to try their homemade pasta, which is simply amazing, but also the other dishes were absolutely tasty - the flavours were delicate and refined, harmonious and balanced. Each dish was a perfect composition, as well as the wine, and the chef of the kitchen, a Sicilian himself, also surprised us with a birthday dessert on the house. We had an amazing evening there and definitely can recommend this to all lovers of Sicilian kitchen.

Osteria La norma it is a restaurant which advice to everybody would like to try typical sicilian foods and eat in a comfortable place welcomed in a cordial way. I have eaten antipasto with a mix of typical sicilian food and in the end pasta alla norma and pasta allo scoglio. These last dishes were really good and brought me for a bit time at home.Tiramisu was good and it was the original one not like you buy in the Austrian supermarkets.

You all know these "genuine" Italian restaurants run by non-Italians or being part of a food chain. Well this is quite the opposite with an Italian chef from Catania and living up to the original Italian Osteria way - simple food and decent wine. We, party of four spoiled Italian food lovers, really enjoyed the antipasti, homemade pasta and dolce. With an abundance of garlic in the pasta not recommendable for Vampires.

I love this place! The food is reason enough to walk through the door, but once you're there, you'll find that the charming atmosphere and doting staff will entice you to make many return trips. We've eaten there several times and it's always a lively, savory and tasty visit. If you're not going as far south as Sicily, I strongly recommend you pop in and enjoy one hell of a good meal!
