I've been walking by this spot forever on my way to Amici's, and tonight I finally got around to making an order. Online ordering was seamless, but I called to confirm since I ordered while they were closed. Someone immediately picked up and was kind and warm while confirming my order. Walked over at the pick up time and was warmly greeted by the server who quickly grabbed my food. The sushi was delicious and simple. One of our new consistent favs in the peninsula. Our latest kudos shout out is for their take out as we had to change birthday celebration plans from In restaurant to take out. Always a little nervous about delivery sushi but they do a standout job! They even present the Rainbow roll beautifully almost as great as in store. Warrior roll and double hamachi are favorites as well as Negi Hama and Halloween roll which can be hit or miss if the pumpkin isn't cooked enough as in this case the only clunker in the group. As you can see from the photos there was enough to make up for it!
very excited to find that there were some special roles at otoko sushi. most Japanese restaurants can get them clear avocado rolls, but here they also have a veggie dragon roll (tempura, economical, avocado, covered with auberginense) as well as pink lady roll (sorted vegetables, tempura packed with soy paper.) they have a veggie bento kombi box with many options that I like to try. besides gegieyoza, various plant tempuras (eggplant, mixed mushroom, asparagus) and seatangsalat. everything was delicious! I will come back in definitiw.
Cute small Japanese restaurant in a plaza in Redwood Shores. No lunch specials though.I tried the udon here and thought it was pretty decent. Soup was hot. Very clean broth with not much in it (which I like I don't like a lot of things like bean sprouts, too many onions, etc). Noodles were nice and chewy. I would get this again especially if I was in the mood for something light.Staff was very friendly. I had a Yelp check in offer and they gave us free matcha ice cream!

Took my mom here for Valentine's Day lunch because they have a sushi roll called The Sweetheart Roll. It's shrimp tempura, imitation crab meat, avocado topped with tobiko and two sauces. Comes shaped in three hearts. It's so tasty and the presentation is beautiful. Love that their menu has photos of each roll. Staff was attentive. Restroom was clean and tidy. They survived the pandemic and never raised their prices.I highly recommend this restaurant!
We got their beef and tonkatsu bento for lunch. The bentos came with rice, salad, miso broth, entree of choice, 4 pieces of California rolls, and mixed tempura. The food was very standard and the meat was not bad. I think I would have crack my tooth if I bit in the California roll any harder, found a piece of rock in the roll. Honestly, I 'm not sure what it was, but it felt like a piece of rock and I felt pain in my tooth after that.
This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in redwood city. Their fish quality is unmatched with great pricing. I love getting their omakase to-go and their sushi is also delicious.Would recommend trying their pink lady roll, halloween roll, and truffle hamachi roll!
the menu has a whole section of vegetarian bento boxes most of them are vegan. croquette is a beautiful tempura piece with several sweets. the udon suppe is ok, it contains more sweet and tofu than the menu description. most veggie rolling are vegan.

The food is pretty terrible for the price. The beef udon barely had any beef in it only a couple of pieces and the oyakodon is just scrambled eggs with boiled chicken There's no flavor at all
Japanese restaurant located in nob hill center. Sushi is good also enjoy the bentos. Tried the pork chop appetizer and was pleasantly surprised.
