Considered one of Brisbane's best I was looking forward to dinner at Otto and it didn't disappoint. A fantastic table by the window with a brilliant view. Delightfully friendly server - sometimes a tad too flirtatious (is that possible?) but he balanced out the snobbish grump of the maitre de for the night. Oysters to begin with and a cocktail (special occasion). The accompanying watermelon granita scared me but on tasting it worked well. I must mention the bread. I actually just could have consumed that for dinner and nothing else. Yum. And it kept coming! Sardines were wonderful, gnocchi fantastic but the duck "sauce" was described to me as "not a ragout" was exactly that and a bit too...

We had a brilliant dinner with friends at Otto. We started with some simple marinated olives to whet our appetite. Otto provides complimentary bread and even those with gluten intolerances were catered for. I ordered the spaghettini alla puttanesca, which was delicious but ended up swapping plates with my dining partner who had ordered the ravioli with black garlic cream. It wasn't to his taste but it was certainly to mine and I was glad I ended up with this dark delight. For dessert I had a simple gelato which came with sweet and salted hazelnuts. I can't remember what it was called but it was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent.
Had a business lunch today. One of the best ever! Let's start with the place which is simple but exclusive. The kitchen is a huge open one and u can see what is being cooked. A design attraction is the huge air fan which are "dressed" and operated it is like a ceiling show. Than the dishes one word: magnificent! Fresh tasty and fillings. The staff is friendly and very nice . Highly recommend. We had a barmundi fish and I had a pans cota for dessert. The price is slightly high.
The food was fine I believe there was about 5 options on the vegan menu, 2 being dessert. I’m not even going to share the photos of our meals, that’s how much I don’t want to promote this venue. The way their staff acted in the end Didn’t know anything about this restaurant prior to our visit, was visiting a friend in Brisbane and found it on Happy Cow when we were in Southbank looking for a place to eat that accommodates vegans. Great to find an upmarket restaurant with a dedicated vegan menu. The food was tasty; lovely fresh ingredients and well prepared and presented. Biggest drawback is the cost very pricey for what you get. Service was attentive and they did serve a lovely vegan bread with extra virgin olive oil dip at the start.
An outstanding experience. Lovely decor, thoughtful and friendly service, and delicious food. I had the marinated Sicilian olives, Spaghettini alla Puttanesca, and for dessert a chocolate mousse with raspberries and a raspberry coulis.
These guys try hard to cater for vegans. Lovely food and stunning service with price to match. Ask for the separate vegan menu. I had the radicchio salad followed by the smoked eggplant melanzane. Truly delicious.?
Dined at Otto with a voucher so was quite reasonable. Even at full price the experience is worth it. Duck gnocchi was superb. Will certainly be back!! Book a table now
I had the risotto which was really good and the vegan dessert. They treat you really well and the carnivores with me enjoyed their meals as well.
The best roasted cauliflower I’ve ever had, I don’t know how they made it taste soo good.

"The pasta at this restaurant is fantastic, the service is good, but the prices are a bit on the higher side. The gnocchi was particularly delicious, but there are other more satisfying options available for the same price."

"The food was tasty. But everyone at our table immediately felt very ill. Almost instantly. The salmon was also a little to raw. The meat was quite a fatty cut"
