Waitress, Maria from Columbia made the ENTIRE experience! She went above and beyond, she IS the experience!! We haven’t had service like that in a long time. Also, the managers (great customer service too! Maria helped adjust menu choices for us, brought an extra heater for us and Maria brought blankets. The problem is the food choices are awkward and sparse the “family style” menu has better choices but still not with $100 a person, the a la cart menu wasn’t that good and sparse, the fondue can’t be plugged in to reach the middle of the table, the “globe” is all plastic and warps the view and gets foggy, the food colors are all distorted (black lettuce because of the igloo lights. Had the a la carte menu in an igloo with some of my friends and it was a fantastic experience! Maria was attentive without being intrusive and so kind. The food and drinks were great (generous pours on the cocktails) and it felt like having a private room but with a view of Boston. It was surprisingly warm given the setting and having a Bluetooth speaker really helped create a little cocoon of privacy. I can’t stress enough how lovely Maria was, it was worth it for her service alone!
It was their opening weekend for the season, the service was incredibly slow and honestly kind of chaotic. The views are incredible and the food was good once we received it. Our drinks took an excessive amount of time and we had to flag our waitress down when our food and drinks were not delivered. Parking on the premises is expensive and is not validated. You had to go all the way down to the lobby to use the restroom, the restaurant was on the 16th floor.
We had a great time dining in the cozy igloo with 7 friends. Maria provided excellent service as our server. Joe was friendly and enthusiastic about celebrating Susan B. Anthony and women's rights with us. We all made a plan to return because the drinks, food, and atmosphere were all fantastic.

Maria was absolutely fantastic! The service was top-notch and she was very friendly and welcoming. The manager was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The bartender was laid-back and gave us some awesome drink recommendations.
We opted for the a la carte menu for four people at the Igloo restaurant. It was a fantastic evening. We were cozy, enjoyed excellent views, and found it very convenient to reunite with friends in what seemed like our own private dining area.
While visiting Boston, we scheduled Over The Charles for appetizers and drinks. We experienced wonderful food and drinks with an awesome view of the Charles River to boot. Highly recommend it.
It is a beautiful place, thanks to María for her excellent service, she made our night more perfect, we felt so comfortable and well cared for that we did not want to leave, we would go again.
