It would fall into the hidden gem category for me as it’s too small to host the large amounts of tourists or the college crowd like some other places can/usually do, but that can be a good thing sometimes. A hidden neighborhood gem with extraordinary food service, garden atmosphere and even history formerly pizza legend, Ed LaDou 's CAIOTI before his Spago fame). The 'must-try ' cured salmon and crusty homemade bread alone are enough for a destination drive. The menu says it all:salmone affumicato $25) house smoked salmon carpaccio with shaved fennel, radish flora bella farm arugula with extra virgin olive oil meyer lemon juice. Also recommend the off-the-menu cioppino- even though the potatoes were nearly raw, it didn 't take away from the overall experience. First of all the parking situation is awful. $14 for valet for them to drive it ten feet into a spot. Wow I’m so grateful they were there to do that. I wouldn’t have been able to do that… Next is the food. I tried the salmon dish and it was good. I ordered the tortellini plate and it was underwhelming. Like something you get and microwave from Trader Joe’s but four times the price. For dessert, tiramisu. And this is my biggest gripe. That was not tiramisu. How can an Italian place make such an awful tiramisu. It was watery with no hint of coffee. Overall, overpriced for the quality. Might be a good date spot to impress someone that eats fast food often.
Delicious gem of a place. Rich history lived up to its reputation. Food and staff were amazing! But....a tad loud inside... honestly a bit wilder of a crowd than I had imagined. Wine must be really good, ha I dont drink. Great for a date but dont expect a quiet intimate affair if seated inside. Besides from volume, again staff was excellent top tier and food had vegan options and substitutions which was appreciated. Expensive but worth every cent...a true LA treasure.

Came here for dinner got the ribeye and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Good wine. Fantastic pasta and delicious chocolate cake. Very cozy romantic and fantastic service will be coming back.
I love the atmosphere... It feels like a little NYC hole. The food is okay. Pizza's good. for huge cockroaches to see though (you are in the canyon)
I can't really say enough great things about PaceIt's my favorite restaurant and every time I go I wonder why I'm not there more often.
Been going to amazing landmark since the late 70’s myself. Always great food and the atmosphere is time traveling back to 60’s!
