This place in the Padbury Shopping Centre off Warburton Ave is our local F&C shop. We 've been coming here for years. Nice people and the F&C are great. Last night at the last minute we decided to treat ourselves and gave them a call and made an order. I think the only words my wife and I muttered to each other during our meal was Mmmmmmm, this is soooo good! I said it was probably the best F&C I 've ever had. My wife agreed. Chips were hot and crisp. The fish batter was similar and the fish very nice. Serving size was plentiful. the fish (from calbarri as a fresh gold band-snaper) was dry, torn, paper thin and tasteless. the dough was oily, flat and dense. for $16 fish was very small. must change the chip oil, again dry and tschalky- only terrible food. very disappointing.
we have often gone here, most of the time at busy nights seems to eat quite good as always in quiet nights when only 1 person works the quality seems to slip a bit. nevertheless good when overall and quite good
