Working and staying in Grosburwedel...... So on this particular rainy, windy and stormy night just wanted to eat. No this is not a start to horror movie. All the restaurants were busy and the thought of having to wait at a bar slowly becoming inebriated...before a table became available i thought i brave they elements. I came across the Padova. I asked the proprietor in my best Italian if the restaurant was open. Si si was the answer, well he said a lot more but my Italian is limited. The house red was good, the pork medallions were excellent and the roasted vegetables........there were far too many but delicious. Have been back there several times and still love the place. There is a lot of love in it For us it is always a long way, but we like to take it on us to eat in Padova. The kitchen is very good, the master is still professional, and we like the rogue ambience with classical and Italian music in the background. We have been visiting the restaurant for decades, even from the Ihmezentrum in Hannover as it went to Großburgwedel. That's what it says. For those who like to try the Padova. Take the last chance! Since the Padova will close permanently to 31.08.2020!!! My experience is great. The host is super nice and very friendly. Food is freshly prepared daily. Not like someone thinks ready pizza and co. Every washed Italian cooks fresh as it is an honorable thing. I can only recommend any Padova. For 7 years, go regularly at least once a month. It just tastes good to me and the atmosphere is also great.
Nice and actually the best Italian in Burgwedel. The boss does everything: organization, operation and cooking and the last with love. The mussel is a poem, pizza is not better. We remain faithful to him.
Pizza and Bruscetta are excellent. Salad comes with separate vinegar and oil to the table as usual in Italy (but I prefer it with finished dressing). Staff is very courteous and friendly.
