This seemed like a good and fun idea at first sight: cheap and cheerful Chinese restaurant right on the waterfront; a good number of takeaway dishes - and with a sit-down option, either inside or out in the garden.In fact, the food – all helpfully laid out at the counter so you could pick by sight – tasted very ordinary indeed. Think most British Chinese takeaways. Here again was the old problem of everything sitting under counter heaters for far too long, and all glistening in the same, sticky monosodium glutamate sauce.But the food was at least tolerable, hot and not that bad.
